CAMPUS PLACEMENT POLICY
For the students of full-time course of Sanjivani College of Engineering
Pre-Placement Process
Timeliness
The Placement Team fixes the time for the pre-placement talks and other interactive events relating to placements, keeping in mind the Institute’s academic calendar and convenience of the participating companies. Timings are communicated to all concerned well in advance.
- Students failing to be on time for any such interactions shall be disallowed from further process with that company.
- Students who are not adhering to timeliness and are cause of embarrassment for the Institute shall be barred from the placement process.
Placement Eligibility Test
To be eligible for Placement Opportunities from the Institute, every B.Tech/MBA final year student must compulsorily qualify in the Placement Eligibility Test organized by the Department of Training & Placement.
The test includes:
- Soft Skills
- Communication Skills
- Recent Trends & Market Updates
- English Language
- Aptitude
- Psychometric Assessment
- Domain Specific Technical Questions
- Passing criteria is 60% separately for Technical and Soft Skills.
- One additional attempt may be provided if the student fails.
- Students who fail to qualify shall not have the right to claim placement opportunities.
- The Department of T&P reserves the right to modify the rules.
Attendance at PPT
Campus hiring may take place at company premises, consultancy premises, or any other college under pool campus recruitment.
- Information regarding PPT will be communicated in advance.
- Interested students must register themselves.
- No proxy registration is allowed.
- Only students attending PPT can apply further.
- Failure to attend may result in disqualification.
Application to Company
Students must apply within the stipulated timeline. Late applications will not be accepted.
Application to Multiple Companies
- Initially five placement opportunities are allowed.
- Three additional opportunities may be provided after refundable deposit of Rs. 5,000 if required.
- Once selected, students cannot apply to other companies unless permitted by the T&P Cell.
Selection Process
Responding to Job Offer
- The first offer must be accepted immediately.
- Refusal may lead to blacklisting from placement activities.
Salary Negotiation
- Negotiation is allowed only if the company mentions negotiable salary package.
- Otherwise, no salary negotiation is permitted.
Missed Interviews
- Missing any part of the placement process may result in disqualification.
- Final decision will be taken by the Placement Cell.
Regular Offer & Dream Offer
| Only one Regular and one Dream Offer allowed |
| Offers up to 7 LPA are treated as Regular Offers |
| Offers above 7 LPA are treated as Dream Offers |
| Further participation depends upon decision of T&P Cell |
Post-Placement Process
Employment Formalities
Selected students must complete all employment formalities prescribed by the company.
Offer Letters
- Students should coordinate with Placement Department regarding offer letters.
- Any discrepancies must be resolved directly with company.
Other Guidelines
Code of Conduct
- Students must behave in a dignified and professional manner.
- No direct communication with company is allowed unless permitted.
- Violation may lead to disqualification.
Dress Code
Students must wear business formals along with ID card and formal shoes.
Timelines for Joining
Students shall join only after completion of the course unless otherwise permitted.
Withdrawal Notice
Students not interested in placement activities must inform the Placement Cell at the beginning of the academic year.
Best Practices for Students
- Develop placement strategy early.
- Communicate through Placement Committee.
- Regularly follow Placement Notice Board.
- Maintain prompt follow-up.
- Stay connected with alumni.
- Utilize internships and industry events effectively.
Refundable Security Deposit
It is mandatory to deposit Rs. 5000 (or amount decided by the Institute) as a security deposit.
Deposit will be forfeited if:
- Student does not attend process after applying
- Student does not complete entire interview process
- Student communicates directly with company
- Student denies offer after selection
- Student shows misconduct during placement process
Process for Refund:
- Visit T&P Office after 6 months of joining
- Submit application with documentary proof
- Submit original and photocopy of receipt
- Refund will be issued through cheque after approval
