Sanjivani Rural Educational Society

The Founding Vision

Former minister, the Pioneer of Socio-economic transformation Hon'ble Late Shankarrao G. Kolhe Saheb established Sanjivani Rural Education Society, Kopargaon in 1983 and started Sanjivani K. B. P. Polytechnic in 1982 and Sanjivani College of Engineering in 1983 with the view to impart technical education to the rural masses. The miracle took place: many wards of farmers, workers, and common people became engineers and self-reliant.

With the passage of time, to cope with the demand of the people, he started pharmacy, MBA, and many more institutes having world-class infrastructure and standards.

40 years back, he dreamed the vision to inculcate skills and talents in rural students so they can face any challenges worldwide. Thousands of students from rural areas got placed in multinational companies, some became government officers, some entrepreneurs, and some hold higher positions across the globe. Many students are pursuing MS in leading foreign universities, some are doing internships on scholarships. Such a visionary person has put Kopargaon town on the educational map of India.

"Imparting technical education to the doorsteps of rural society is not just a mission - it is a debt we owe to the youth of Maharashtra."

- Hon'ble Late Shankarrao Genuji Kolhe, Founder
