Our vision is to create an environment of academic excellence in the subject area of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and allied disciplines through classroom teaching, practical demonstrations and research activities. We are looking towards expansion of problem solving horizons in the emerging areas of communication, soft computing, control and signal processing.


Our Mission is to make use of the Technology of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering as a principle Instruments for deriving optimal solutions in multidisciplinary Engineering problems having social relevance. We are committed to the development of Technical human resources exhibiting professional and ethical attitudes and interdisciplinary approach.


The Universe that we live in is continuously shrinking and real credit goes to the fast growing Electronics and Telecommunication revolution. The Electronics Engineering Department was established in 1983 and was later converted to Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with intake of 120. The department conducts Undergraduate program and Postgraduate program with specialization in Digital Systems with intake of 18. Moreover the department has been declared as approved Ph. D. Research Centre by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune Since 2012. The department has 13 well equipped laboratories for Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs. These laboratories holistically conform not just to the University curriculum, but also to industrial requirements.

The undergraduate program in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi from November 2013. Also the program has been permanently affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.

The department has been declared as a NODAL CENTRE of the e-Prayog, Virtual labs (Electronics) IIT Bombay. Under this scheme various workshops on virtual laboratories have been organized. The department has also been granted the status of a SUPER RESOURCE CENTRE for Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay under the ‘National Mission on Education through ICT’, MHRD, Govt. of India.

A dedicated faculty, who are upgrading themselves, keeping in pace with the global progress, drives the department. They have published many research papers at National and International level. The students too have presented their research papers and projects at State and National level with many of them winning prizes For instilling a sense of competence and make the learning more interesting. The department has established IEEE Student Branch, IETE Students’ Forum(ISF) and Departmental Students Association (ETESA). The department has its own library with IEEE journals and transactions


PEO1: Provide graduates with a strong foundation in mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals to enable them to devise and deliver efficient solutions to challenging problem in Electronics, Communications and allied disciplines.

PEO2: Impart analytic and thinking skills to develop initiatives and innovative ideas for R&D, Industry and societal requirements.

PEO3: Provide sound theoretical and practical knowledge of E&C Engineering, managerial and entrepreneurial skills to enable students to contribute to the well being of society with a global outlook.

PEO4: Inculcate qualities of teamwork as well as social, interpersonal and leadership skills and an ability to adapt to evolving professional environments in the domains of engineering and technology.

PEO5: Motivate graduates to become good human beings and responsible citizens for the overall welfare of the society.

PEO 6: Practice the ethics of their profession consistent with a sense of social responsibility and develop their engineering design, problem –solving skills and aptitude for innovations as they work i1ndividually and in multi disciplinary teams.
